Directly, no; compliance-wise, yes. Direct international banking wires and commercial payments are blocked by sanctions. However, personal remittances (family support, tuition) are legally permitted under OFAC General License M. By matching your domestic U.S. deposit with separate Rial reserves in Iran, we ensure your funds never cross restricted borders, keeping the transfer fully compliant.
Yes. We screen parties against sanctions lists and the OFAC 50% rule for entities owned 50% or more by blocked persons.
No. Senders are not required to upload passports, driver's licenses, or government IDs directly to our platform. Senders' identities are securely validated through bank-level authentication from the originating Western account used to deposit the funds. Senders only need to provide the recipient's name and bank details to release the Rial instantly in Iran.
Our system uses a local-to-local matching ledger. Western deposits remain in supported Western accounts while residents inside Iran may deposit domestic Rial to fund eligible international expenses like university tuition, medical bills, or immigration fees. Matching these reciprocal local ledgers is designed to reduce cross-border wire exposure and support compliance review.
The standard transfer range is $15 to $5,000 per transaction (or equivalent in other currencies). Transfers under $100 carry a flat $10 fee.
Most transfers complete within 24–72 hours after compliance checks, depending on payout route and verification time.
Origin country, transfer amount and currency, recipient city in Iran, and the purpose of transfer.
Noncommercial, personal remittances do not include charitable donations to or for the benefit of an entity or funds to support a business. Those uses may require a specific license.
You see the estimated recipient amount and the fee before you confirm, based on the live rate at quote time.
OFAC guidance authorizes U.S. persons to hand-carry noncommercial, personal remittances on their own behalf, subject to restrictions.
If a transfer has not yet been paid out, we can usually update or cancel it. Contact support as soon as possible.
